President's Message
Welcome to the Yakima Valley Human Resource Association (YVHRA) website. YVHRA is a non-profit professional organization that provides human resource professionals the opportunity to network, receive training, and enhance their knowledge and experience in the complex world of human resource management.
We are an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and our Chapter is committed to practicing and promoting the Human Resource profession as an effective and strategic business partner with our members' respective organizations.
For over 30 years, YVHRA has provided a forum for HR professionals in the Yakima Area to connect with one another and to enhance their skills through professional development and education. Our members and their employers continue to benefit in numerous ways.
I have been elected to serve as the 2010 Board president and am honored to serve our membership in this capacity. I look forward to continuing the efforts made by the past YVHRA presidents and building on these leaders' efforts to continue to offer a worthwhile and valuable association for HR professionals. We have an extraordinary group of professionals who have volunteered to serve the membership and their profession with enthusiasm and zeal. I could not be more eager to start the New Year and see the great things that 2010 will bring for us as an organization
It is an exciting and busy time for HR professionals. I am thankful and appreciative to you who have participated in our monthly meetings, events and the many activities that YVHRA has sponsored throughout 2009. 2010 looks very exciting for our association. Our board and our committees have been working hard on our upcoming monthly programs and activities. The programs we have planned for 2010 will target a wide range of topics regarding all aspects of the profession.
